The Rod Ellerbusch Caring for Kids Golf Classic is named in honor of charter member Rod Ellerbusch. Rod was instrumental in getting the Second Wind Fund of Douglas County created. He was also the inspiration behind the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute at Denver Children's Hospital. He served on the Rocky Mountain District Foundation Board, as an International Trustee and as Kiwanis International Vice President.
